Celebrating mistakes (間違ったらお祝いだ)

Dinner time conversation with my daughter over a picture book.

Me: "Do chickens have a beak?"

Emi: "No."

Me: "Yes, they do. Look here."

Emi: "Sorry, dada."

Me: "No, you should never be sorry just because you made a mistake. Mistakes are great. We learn from them."

Emi: "OK."

I don't know what this 2 years old is really feeling when she says sorry, but I want her not to be afraid of or sorry for making mistakes. We should celebrate our mistakes! Take more risks.
